Question Change Backup Directory

psupport

New Pleskian
How would I go about changing the backup directory location?

I would like to utilize a remote NFS server to store the backups on.

Thank you.

Thank you.

I also see that there is a DumpTempDir key.

Would this directory need to have the same amount of space available as the size of the backup?

Would it be safe to also move this folder to the NFS server?

Hi psupport,

I also see that there is a DumpTempDir key.

Would this directory need to have the same amount of space available as the size of the backup?
No, this is not necessary - because the temporary files during the backup - process are never the same size as the complete backup itself. Pls. be informed, that the "DumpTempDir" is as well needed for saved sessions, and other temporary files. The content inside that folder can be deleted safely, when no backup or scheduled tasks is running on your server.

Would it be safe to also move this folder to the NFS server?
Possible issues:

Would you happen to know what the required size this temp location would need when backing up all sites?

Ex. Would it need to be at least the size of the largest subscription, database, etc.
