change main IP address

we have moved plesk 8.0 installation to another hardware. for this, i have given to the new machine a different IP address during migration. after migration, i have setup all IP addresses as they were on the old system.

the problem now is, that the initially used IP address is still listed as the "main" IP address (bold) under plesk desktop (server --> IP Addresses). i cant remove or change it, as it is greyed out.

how can i change the "main" ip address ?

Please do a search in the forums before asking these questions over and over. This has been answered to my knowledge at least twice recently. See the following:

If that doesn't help you, please search through the forums and I know theres a few articles in here that answer these questions.

Hi,

If I have a dedicated website using SSL, how can we change that ip address?

Do you have:
1. Admin rights or Client rights to the PSA control panel

Changing your IP is simple within the setup of the domain, pick another IP exclusive IP from the pool and change DNS. This is assuming of course you're just asking how to change the IP specific to 1 domain.

If you are wondering how to change a greyed out administrative IP of your box that has been removed and add the new one, see the post and link above.

If you do not have admin or client rights to your PSA control panel, then I would assume you do not have root access to the box. If this is the case please email your ISP to change the IP associated with your site and then change DNS or have them do it if they control that too.

This same thing has happened to me. Did you find a solution?

Thanks!
