Changes in proftpd.include don't stay

When I add a PassivePorts directive to the proftpd.include file, I look back at it 1+ day(s) later and it's gone. I tried making the file readonly after the change was made, and I also tried making the change in the proftpd.conf file, all to no avail. What daemon/script is running that is changing these files?

We are having the exact same problem, running on FreeBSD 5.3.

Plesk overwrites the settings in the .include
You should add your settings in the proftpd.conf

Then it should work !
This question has been asked here at least 10 times, you should search the forum first before you write a question ;)

A search on Proftpd.include only revealed this question in the 7.5 forum, now there's an answer that goes with it for the next person:)

Still doesn't explain why Plesk overwrites it though, the idea of the include is so you can preserve a working config and revert to it if you need to I believe.

i've the same problem over RH3

writing in proftpd.conf is safe?

does they stay there???

for example update from 7.5.2 to 7.5.3 has changed that file!!!
