Changing IP Question

Hi Guys

I need you suggestion on what to do when changing the IP address of your system and plesk.

I read some threads that asked me to use the reconfigurator.pl utility-> dose this change the main ip address or the ip addresses of my domains and clients, also as all of them are using the same IP

In the other forum it said to run the reconfigurator.pl utility before changing the system IP address please let me know what should i do.
