chown to /var with a webuser

Hi!

I changed the "Mainuser" with chown -R xxx
Now the rights are false ..I repaired the basic system, and now the apache and the mysql runs ..but I think the user rights are wrong!
Can someone post the rights of the /var?!

Ist a debian system and plesk 8.1.1 is running!

Can I install the Plesk system over the existing system and set with this trick the user rights?! How can I do this?!
