client login fails

Hi,

since yesterday, logins of all clients fails with tho lower (german) error-message (inside the login-box):

Fehler: Sie haben Benutzerinformationen eines Panel-Benutzerkontos eingegeben, das mit einem Abrechnungskonto verlinkt ist. Aus Sicherheitsgründen können Sie sich nicht unter diesem Panel-Benutzer am System anmelden. Bitte verwenden Sie zur Anmeldung den Benutzernamen und das Passwort Ihres Abrechnungskontos. Sie finden die Anmeldeinformationen zu Ihrem Abrechnungskonto in der E-Mail-Nachricht, die Sie erhalten haben als Ihr Abonnement erstellt wurde.

Try to translate:

You entered user informations of a panel user-account, with is linked with a merchant account.
For security-reasons, you cannot login to the system as this panel-user.
To login, please use the username and password from your merchant account. You can find the login-informations for your merchant account in the E-mail-message, you have received you have created the subscription.

What's going wrong? What to do?
With that login informations from the emails the login fails with the above message
