Command Line Utility Error

GiorgosI

Basic Pleskian
Plesk 10.0.1, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS x64, Linux 2.6.32-26-generic

I cannot find any documentation for command line utility of Plesk 10.0.1.
I try to update domain's ftp credentials through command line utility but I get:
__________________________________________________________________________________________
# export PSA_CRYPTED_PASSWORD='$1$TqAsfJGs$9OMNfTKyKAOfgIq8R3eBw0'
# /opt/psa/bin/domain --update testnoc6.ccf.auth.gr -login testnoc6ftp -passwd_type encrypted -passwd ''
/usr/sbin/chpasswd: invalid option -- 'e'
Usage: chpasswd [options]

Options:
-h, --help display this help message and exit
-S, --stdout report encrypted passwords to stdout
instead of changing the passwd file

usermng: /usr/sbin/chpasswd execution error. result code=512
An error occurred during domain update: error in hosting updating: Unable to update hosting settings: system user update is failed: Unable to create system user: usermng: /usr/sbin/chpasswd execution error. result code=512

In CentOS 5.5 x64 it seems to work fine(I give exactly the same command):
__________________________________________________________________________________________
# export PSA_CRYPTED_PASSWORD='$1$TqAsfJGs$9OMNfTKyKAOfgIq8R3eBw0'
# /usr/local/psa/bin/domain --update testnoc6.ccf.auth.gr -login testnoc6ftp -passwd_type encrypted -passwd ''
no crontab for testnoc7ftp
no crontab for testnoc7ftp
SUCCESS: Update of domain 'testnoc6.ccf.auth.gr' complete.

Seems problem in /usr/sbin/chpasswd version. For example, I have -e option on my Ubuntu:

# cat /etc/*release*
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS"

# /usr/sbin/chpasswd --help
Usage: chpasswd [options]

Options:
-e, --encrypted supplied passwords are encrypted
-h, --help display this help message and exit
-m, --md5 use MD5 encryption instead DES when the supplied
passwords are not encrypted

Yes, /usr/sbin/chpasswd does not support -e option.
So, is it Ubuntu's or Plesk's bug.
Plesk 10.0.1 says that supports Ubuntu 10.04.
Do you know if there is any workaround?

Yes, we have already submitted bugreport regarding this problem. As far as I know fix will be included to 10.1.0 version which will be released soon (no any ETA).
