I installed SQL Server 2000 on my machine running Plesk 7.5. I have setup Plesk to work with SQL Server and have also created new databases and users through Plesk.
My problem is that I cannot connect to the SQL server remotely (from another machine). I have tried using the IP of the machine and also mssql.domainname.com as the server address. My connection always gets refused.
In Plesk the firewall is set to "filter out packets" for the MS SQL over TCP protocol rule on TCP port 1433. I have tried connecting with this rule disabled.
What do I do next?
