Corrupted PSA database - need to reinstall

Hi there.

I managed to overwrite the psa database with an old (version 9) copy, rendering the v10 control panel fairly useless.

Reckon I need to do a clean install to get it back up.

Running the installer, it still thinks it is all installed fine and doesn't allow me to progress past the "Main components list for Parallels Plesk Panel" page.

How can I do a full reinstall of the Plesk 10 panel?

Debian 5, Plesk 10.

Thanks.

Thanks Igor.

(and sorry for posting in the wrong forum).

So can I use /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller to re-install the psa database?

Database cannot be reinstalled - database can be upgraded only.

Still having issues with this.

Trying to re-install from scratch but the having problems with the database.

If I remove the psa database completely the installer fails with this:

===> Upgrading database

Trying to start service mysql... /usr/sbin/mysqld (pid 3035) is running...
done
Trying to establish test connection... connected
done
Trying to find psa database... not found

Trying to set psa database version to 01090... ERROR 1049 (42000): Unknown database 'psa'

Check the error reason(see log file: /tmp/pp10.9.0-bootstrapper.110124.17.06.log), fix and try again

I found a db dump from a previous upgrade a couple of days ago, restored this to the psa table and tried again.

This time it fails with this:
===> Upgrading database

Trying to start service mysql... /usr/sbin/mysqld (pid 3035) is running...
done
Trying to establish test connection... connected
done
Trying to find psa database... DATABASE ERROR!!!
Database psa found, but version undefined

ERROR while trying to find psa database
Check the error reason(see log file: /tmp/pp10.9.0-bootstrapper.110124.17.14.log), fix and try again

So it seems I can't win.
There must be a way to make the installer think this is a completely fresh install and not try to restore or upgrade anything - just install Plesk.

Any suggestions most welcome.

PS - how can I move this post to the right forum?
