Hello fellas,

i have an backup folder outside of vhosts structure, and only accessible by root user.
i am configuring a backup software to download those files created by Plesk bkp manager.
To no use root for this task i would like to create a new user that is able to access a specific directory, (non public).

anyone know how to do this?

mkdir /mybackupdir
useradd <-username>
passwd <-username>
chown –R <-username> /mybackupdir*
groupadd <-groupname>
gpasswd -a <-username> <-groupname>
chgrp -R <-groupname> /mybackupdir*
chmod -R g+rw /mybackupdir

this is right?
