• The APS Catalog has been deprecated and removed from all Plesk Obsidian versions.
Applications already installed from the APS Catalog will continue working. However, Plesk will no longer provide support for APS applications.

Customizing DNS

Hi all,

Everytime I do something DNS related in Plesk (add/remove domain, etc) Plesk does some funky things automatically. Most is good, some is bad.

For example:

There's the "Common Allow Zone Transfer ACL". If you type in the IP addresses you need, you do not really want them to show up in the individual zone entries as well in named.conf (since you have the, yes, common-allow-transfer). But they do.

You add your own entries to your in-addr.arpa files. And one DNS modifiaction later in Plesk, and they are gone.

This gets very frustrating in the long run since it requires me to do manual updates everytime an automatic have happened.

Does anyone know how to modify the "template" or whatever it is that writes to the DNS files?

Thanks a bunch in advance.

/j.
