• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Database creation error

Newly installed plesk 8.0.1 on Windows 2003

When I try to add a database to any domain (mysql or mssql), it just gives a single word error, and doesnt create any database

Error: db_server_not_exist

It gives no more details. Also, no entries in windows event viewer logs.

When i go to server->database servers, it shows both mssql and mysql database servers added there, and by clicking DB WebAdmin link, I can login into root admin account in phpmyadmin.

Please help out guys.

Cheers

I have more or less the same problem. Under the server tab I added one instance of MSSQL (remote) and one of MySQL (local). Bothe of them were therefore added successfully, but when I try to create a new MySQL DB for a domain I receive this error message warning for a failed connection to the local server....but it is up and running...I can manage it via webadmin!!!

What's up???

Solved the problem.
It was due to servermask port 80 software I installed on my webserver.
I uninstalled it, removed related registry keys, and works fine now.
