• Please be aware: Kaspersky Anti-Virus has been deprecated
With the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.64, "Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Servers" will be automatically removed from the servers it is installed on. We recommend that you migrate to Sophos Anti-Virus for Servers.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
  • We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.

Resolved Debian 11 / PHP 7.3

Erwan

Regular Pleskian
Hi all,

There isn't PHP 7.3 with Plesk / Debian 11.
Only 7.4.

I know the version is deprecated but is there a way to add it to Plesk for project compatibility?

After installing you simply add them as custom PHP versions to plesk. (there is a CLI command for that)
Do you know the link for that ?

here the command I would use to add such a "FPM" handler for PHP 7.3 on a Debian

Code:
plesk bin php_handler --add -displayname 7.3.x -path /usr/sbin/php-fpm7.3 -phpini /etc/php/7.3/fpm/php.ini -type fpm -id os-php73-fpm -clipath /usr/bin/php7.3 -service php7.3-fpm -poold /etc/php/7.3/fpm/pool.d/

We use "7.3.x" for displayname, because this name does not get updated in Plesk, whenever there is a new minor version out you may (automatically) install via apt update.
So it would for example still show 7.3.33, though in reality you have 7.3.34 installed.....sure, does not hurt anyone, but could cause confusions
