Default SSL problem

i have 2 Plesk Reloaded 7.5.3 RHEL3 servers. on both i have set up https at the default domain to be a server-wide installation of phpMyAdmin (so my clients don't have to login via Plesk and click all the way down). on one machine this has worked perfectly, i set up a self-signed cert and installed it as the default and when you access the default domain via https you get it's self-signed cert.
however, on my other machine, no matter what i do, when i connect via https i get an SSL cert for localhost.localdomain. when i click on server->certificates i can see both default (plesk) and myhost.mydomain certs. i have set myhost.mydomain to be the default cert and checked under server->IP addresses that this is correct. under the vhost for myhost.mydomain i have click web hosting->set up and again i see myhost.mydomain as the default cert. i cannot find localhost.localdomain cert anywhere yet it is being served everytime i visit https://myhost.mydomain.

any ideas?
TIA
