• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Directory Protection Bug? Plesk 7.5.4

I'm using v 7.5.4 on a linux RedHat install (I think) and there seems to be a problem with directory protection:

When I use the "Directories" page, I can create a new protected directory with no problem. However, using the "Directories" page to remove protection on a directory removes the entry from within Plesk's "Directories" interface, but the directory remains protected. I looked for .htaccess with an ftp client, but I didn't find one. I'm going to try a shell next.

Also, once directory protection has been enabled on the new directory, and trying to remove protection from within the control panel fails, even deleteing the directory, and then creating it again as a normal directory will not remove the protection.

Attempting to create directory protection on an existing directory fails.

Any ideas on a work-around for this, or what might be wrong?

Thanks in advance for any pointers! :D
