• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Directory Protection Problem

Hi

Until my host decided to crash their server I had a couple of directories protected with username and password. When the server came back up I noticed that the username/password dialogue box did not appear when you accessed pages in these directories.

I deleted the original protection and reset using the Web Directory - Protection option and then setting up users. But it still refuses to work.

Can anybody point me in the right direction [don't know a great deal about Plesk 7.6 - but hey it worked before so why not now].

Appreciate any help.

Cheers

Graeme

Graeme, I wonder if you got any reply to this. I have exactly the same problem, although I attribute it to upgrading to Plesk 8.1.
