Somebody please,
I have installed a fresh copy of Plesk 8.1 and then restored my sites which were on Plesk 7.6.1.
Everything restored ok exept that nothing is working, since the DNS seems not work.
Here is an excempt from DNSSTUFF
/
Searching for ns.metal.gr A record at e.root-servers.net Got referral to GRNS-HER.ICS.FORTH.gr. [took 50 ms]
Searching for ns.metal.gr A record at GRNS-HER.ICS.FORTH.gr. Got referral to nameserver.metal.gr. [took 174 ms]
Searching for ns.metal.gr A record at nameserver.metal.gr. Reports a server failure! [took 177 ms].
/
Response:
Unknown (server failure at nameserver.metal.gr).
The service Plesk Name server was on manual startup mode, and I turned it to automatic. The service is working ok.
Even the nslookup pointing to the DNS server reports a timeout.
TIA
