• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

DNS Issues

Stepster

Basic Pleskian
Until recently I've not been using Panel to manage my DNS as it hasn't supported Simple DNS. But with the latest update I see it's now supported again. Great news!

But I'm having a problem.

My Plesk Panel setup runs in a NAT environment (in an Amazon VPC), so all of my machine IPs are local.

So far, not a problem. But when I go to 'DNS Settings' and try to create a 'Zones Setting Template' I need to put in external IPs for my 'A' records. Whenever I try to do this, it fails with the following warning message:

"Warning: Incorrect DNS record values were specified."

Surely I'm not limited to only being able to enter DNS records for IPs assigned to this one local machine??

What am I doing wrong? Please can someone help me.

Nothing?

Am I doing something wrong? Am I trying something that's not possible (surely not!). Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
