  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved DNS record updated by sql

christian

Basic Pleskian
i used sql to update some domains DNS records,
but it seem that this changes aren't used or returned by the dns server.
ex, update _dmarc or spf record, when fighting with deliverability problems..
to do changes must be effective, i was forced to open each domain dns, edit record and add space, validate and update.. to get change effective..

too boring !!

in plesk admin interface, when we change a dns recods, after validate, we must click update on dns page..
how to do the same for a domain or a record, to have dns using/return this new setting.?

without rebuilding entire dns values from template.?

hum, tried
plesk sbin dnsmng --update domain.tld (with modifyed domain)

but, changes setted in psa.dns_recs.val and psa.dns_recs.displayVal are not setted or used by the dns..

i have a lot of dns records to update. .does exist a way to do it? retrieve specific dns record , and update value.?
or delete specific record, and set it changed?
from command line.

thanks.

tryed again, and find command working

plesk sbin dnsmng --update domain.ltd --without-reverse

the change setted in psa.dns_recs.val and psa.dns_recs.displayVal by sql request is used effectively by the dns.
