• The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

DNS Server for Non-hosted Domain

Hi,

I have a domain that is actually hosted at a remote location. However I would like to configure the DNS records to point to that domain from my Plesk machine WITHOUT creating a local hosted site. In other words, I want to use my Plesk computer as a nameserver for foreign domains that are not hosted in my Plesk machine.

If this possible and how ?

Thanks in advanced.

Thanks for your reply. I did that already, but the email messages sent from hosted domains -through Sendmail- to the foreign domain in question will not leave the server (and will not bounce back either). If I delete the foreign domain from the Plesk panel, then everything works fine.

Any thoughts ?

Hey it sounds reasonable, but I can't find the ON/OFF button to turn the domain's mail service off. Where is it ?

I have Plesk 5.0
