  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question DNS servers and default domain on Onyx

igordr

New Pleskian
Hello,

I am having trouble setting up the default domain for my newly installed plesk Onyx CentOS 7.
I have bought additional IP so I have now one default IP address and additional one - two in total.

My intention is to setup the default domain which nameservers will be used as a default for every next domain I add on the website. In my case, the default domain I want to set is igriceigrice.net. I assigned the default IP to A record for ns1.<domain> and the second IP (bought one) to A record ns2.<domain>.
I have to NS record entries and both refer to ns1, ns2.igriceigrice.net.

I then went to the domain register page and changes ns1, ns2.igriceigrice.net IP addresses to the default IP and to the bought IP.

Is this the right configuration for the purpose I mentioned before?

Could you please take a look at the attached file.

Best,
Igor

Hello,

The nameservers are pointing to the right IPs but the browser still returns old server files. I cleared the cache and checked from various devices.
Could you please give an advice?

Thanks,
Igor
