• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Dns setup for email issue (plesk with one ip and godaddy dns)

Francesco Leone

New Pleskian
Hi,
I've a plesk virtual server with one ipv4 ip and one ipv6 ip
Since i use it for my domains (10 domains more or less), i don't need custom nameserver.
So, from godaddy dns panel I've set A @ to resolve at my ipv4 Ip.

But now, how do I set emails ? What should i put in godaddy ? And what in plesk ?

thanks for helping
Francesco

Hi Francesco,

Just ensure that

1. You have created an * [A] record that resolves to your Server IP address ..
2. Create an MX record "mail.yourdomain.com." with priority [10]

Those 2 steps (done at your DNS host, in this case Godaddy) should ensure that mail would then be routed to your server.

Of-course from your plesk server, create the domain, email accounts and all is done ...
