  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Question Does Plesk lock Domains while backup?

BNO

Basic Pleskian
Hi,

does plesk lock the domain while backup for the domain is running?

best regards

Nope.
In the background Plesk backup will copy your files and databases and other information's silently without taking down any websites, except some small errors in end-user screen IF the user want to save something during the database backup (which is seconds), the result is data inconsistency and it rarely happens.

You can monitor your websites usage during the day (24 hour period) and find the prefect spot to schedule a backup based on your users time zones.
