  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Hi guys,

This is my very first forum question so i hope the respons will be good and of course that someone knows a solution to my problem. I have a dedicated server (Unix) with Plesk 8.1.1. running in a datacentre.

When i add a domain through Plesk everything goes smooth and i get immediatly acces through FTP and also the e-mail addresses i make work immediatly as well. Problem is the showing of the webpages.

When i upload a simple page stating "under construction" or something the website does not show. DNS has already been assigned to my server so that is not the problem. When i try to preview the website through plesk or visit the website directly i just get a blank page without any error message.

After a week or something all of a sudden the website works and respons to my upload is immediatly and everything runs smooth from there on.

One of our external developers has acces to the server as well and they added some extra services to the server as well like there own SMTP etc. This has caused some problems but still the problem i described just solves itself in a week or so without any interference from someone. Why does it take so long for the website to show when you enter it? Hope someone has some ideas about it or even a solution.

Let me know!

Regards,

Robert
