• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

domain aliases and mailboxes

Hi,

I run a site, example.com, and also own example.org and example.net. I've set the latter two as aliases of example.com in Plesk (Domains > Domain Aliases).

This doesn't seem to create aliases for mail accounts though - for example, [email protected] exists, but mail to [email protected] or [email protected] just bounces ("no mailbox by that name"). Is there a way around this? Do I have to setup example.org and example.net seperately (ie not as domain aliases) in order to be able to create mailboxes on them?

When you are adding the alias make sure you don't enter in www, when entering in the domain.

I can't think of anything else at the moment.

Good Luck ;)

Thanks for the reply. I found a partial solution: for each aliased domain, you can enable/disable mail. Enabling causes the aliased domain to also also create aliases for the mailboxes.
