I have a strange problem with my VPS /debian 8.9, plesk 17.5.3/, the system was working perfectly until today morning when I received a cron error email:
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/60sa-update exited with return code 4
It turned out that I have more problems: some hosted sites are not loading after a timeout period they give a 500 error and receiving mails from outside is not working, I can't ping from console, the request times out without resolving the domain.
I found the problem, I have plesk firewall installed and it seems it started to block dns requests, if I turn it of or set "System policy for incoming traffic" to allowed it's working again. I have some custom rules, but nothing special the default dns rule is intact. Logs are not helping I even tried to uninstall the firewall and start again from scratch but problem is still there.
What could cause this? Thanks in advance
