Domaintemplates

Hi everybody,

I'm use Plesk and I made differens domain-templates for the differens hostingpackages i have. If I add a new domein for a customer, I can select one of my made domain-templates.
Its working great, but I'm wonder, how to change the the domain witch a other domain-template later, for a example: I have template A en template B, I add a new domain with with template A, I decide later to change it to template B. So, the customer had packet Bronze 500MB (template a) and now he want to upgrade to Zilver 1GB (template b).

Is that possible? And how?

Client's/domains templates can be used only for clients/domains creating and can't be applied to already existing clients/domains. Really, if you enable mysql logging in my.cnf and analyse logs you see that id of template used only during client creating and then replaced with NULL in clients table. There is no possibility to change template because it can lead to unpredictable consequences. For example, you have domain with 5 allowed mailboxes and try to apply template with 2 allowed mailboxes. What should be done with already existing extra 3 mailboxes?
Limits and other parameters for client/domain can be changed by Plesk API when Plesk is configured and included as a part of some Parallels Automate solution like PBAS or Expand or POA.

Its worth mentioning that you can alter the settings. e.g. increase space / bandwith / mailboxes etc but you will have to do it manually:

General > Domains > Select Domain > Tick Group Operations.
