The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
39 replies and almost 1.400 view of this thread without a single reaction of SWSoft. I don't think I have ever seen that before and I must say I'm impressed...
Yes it works. I have installed it on close to 10 servers. It's been DL'd from my server several times. It would be nice if those folks would speak up and let us know if it worked for them.
I recieved this patch from SW-Soft as well. It does infact solve the issue. It renames the existing install directory and creates a new one with the newer updated version.
I still get the key not found, but the DrWebCom starts, loads definitions and scans without spamming our admin mailbox.
It seems that this patch works. It creates an new directory for DrWeb and installs the new version of DrWeb. Emails are scanned and there are no bounce-emails in queue. The old directory of DrWeb is renamed to 'DrWeb[0]'
But then i had always messages in the system event
.....Plesk\DrWeb\restartDrWeb.bat' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
So I have copied the 'restartDrWeb.bat' from the old DrWeb directory ('DrWeb[0]') to the new DrWeb directoy and it seems to work.
The restartDrWeb.bat just stops und restarts the DrWeb-Service.
Does anybody knows if you still need to apply the Dr. Web patch that SwSoft has been handing out themselves if you upgrade from 7.5.4 to 7.5.5 or is that fixed at the same time ?
I quickly browsed the release notes and they don't mention anything on this subject. Since this is a brand new release and that "Dr. Web starting to send e-mails" is a major issue, you could expect they solved that in this release, but maybe it was already too close to release date to get this fixed.

Shame on SW-Soft... I installed 7.5.4 -> 7.5.5 patch few days ago, and today I'm deleting >200k e-mails from mail server... I don't have to mention that they didn't write anything about this in 7.5.5 release notes nor did they put any effort in releasing hotfix/patch or even info on their site on what to do.
On the other hand, thanks to users of this forum I've come accros on hotfix from both Dr.Web and MailEnable.
