• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue E-mail problem with Outlook

Nico007

New Pleskian
Outlook asks me for my E-Mail Password infinitely, I can't send any e-mails. I tried deleting my e-mail adress from outlook, now i cant even set up my account anymore. Unfortunately i don't get any failure report. I already deactivated the DIGEST-MD5, because i read that it may cause problems with outlook, but it didn't change a thing.

Whats weird is that i can still send and receive e-mail via webmail, thunderbird etc., without any problems.

Do you have any ideas how i can solve this problem?

Thank you,
kind regards

The first step here would be to look at /var/log/maillog (or /var/log/mail.log, depending on your OS) when your Outlook tries to connect. You can then see what the server thinks about the connection, e.g. if the password is wrong, if the encryption does not work for the server etc.
