• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Email Settings: processing order / compatability

Hello, all.

New (end) user here. I am looking for more docs on the email settings -- particularly, for email processing clarification. For example, what exactly will occur with the following settings? (I see from one doc that you can set multiple mail types.)

Mailbox
(Password)
Group
Redirect
Autoresponder

Will email messages be 1.) stored in mailbox on server; and 2.) a copy forwarded/redirected to specified user; and 3.) also copies to members of group?

Or, does a mail redirect or mailbox or group setting thwart other processes?

Also, is it correct that a group is simply a multiple-user redirect?

[Honestly, my question is not as dumb as it sounds. :-]

Thank you.
