• Debian 11 has reached its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.81 is the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

enable SSL and SMTP auth for qmail

Hi,

I've been strugling to add SSL authentication and SMTP authentication for qmail on Plesk 8.3, but no success till now. The biggest problem is that I am able to send emails unauthenticated through the smtp server, which is a big security issue... though under mail settings in the Plesk Control Panel under Server -> Mail -> Relay options there is enabled authentication for POP3 and SMTP.
Can anyone point me please the direction where should I look?
First I would like to enable SMTP authentication and afterwards I'll look for SSL encryption for SMTP. The pop2 works without any problem.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
