  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

For SSL, domain must be on dedicated IP else SSL will not work. Make sure dedicated IP assigned to that domain.

Next
Login to Plesk > Domain > Certificate > Add new request > Fill form click on request > this will genrate CSR and Private Key > Now apply for SSL certificate using CSR and once issues install it in Plesk > Domain.com > Certificates > Click on created request > copy/paste certificate > click on send text . Cheers! You have installed it.

Now Plesk > domain.com > Setup > Select SSL option > and also select SSL crtificate from above combo box.

Now done!

arazas, thank you!

I enabled it in this way:

I use shared SSL,

Specify master SSL:
server -> shared SSL -> mark "Enable shared SSL"

client -> dimain -> domain.tld -> limit mark unlimited SSL

client -> dimain -> domain.tld -> shared SSL -> mark "Enable shared SSL" -> specify a name "Example"

now we put our files in httpSdocs and can access them via following link:

httpS://master.tld/Example

any idea about this way?

It is shared SSL. In shared SSL environment you will install the SSL on one domain in the same way as I told you above. But you can then add domains with that shared one that can be accessed like this:

https://www.masterdomain.com/userdomain_com/

Now its up to you, if you want to have dedicated ssl solution then you must follow the first method else if you have installed ssl on one domain you can assign shared ssl for rest of domains.

thank you very much arazas!

hope helpfull for every one!

I have a related question. I just set up plesk on a dedicated mail server that our clients will log into. I found that when accessing the control panel I was receiving a certificate error. I purchased an ssl certificate but have been unable to successfully install it such that the certificate error does not occur.

How should an ssl certificate be installed for the plesk control panel itself as opposed to a domain?

Thanks,

Adam

For Plesk certifcate if check in Plesk > Server > Certificate > Default Certficate...!

They use 'plesk' as a domain name. So i believe you will need to generate the CSR with name Plesk and then purchase / install the SSL. They have also given two options of setup and default in Plesk > Server > Certificate which might help you for setup this.

I've Plesk 8.2, regularly installed certificate and dedicated IP for a domain but following your final instructions I can't see the content of httpSdocs on my https URL, I ever see the content of httpdocs...
Any idea ?
Thanks
