Error: DNS records for domain with such name already exist

Hello,

I am trying to create a domain in Plesk and keep getting this error message:

Error: DNS records for domain with such name already exist

I've read and tried these solutions:

I cannot seem to connect via the console.
I get the following error:

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

I've also tried searching for "/etc/psa/.psa.shadow" on the drive and it cannot be found.

How do I get this removed so I can create the domain?

Do you have Windows or Linux version of Plesk?

Hi Igor,

It appears the database name was different than what was posted in the KB articles.
So that was the reason I couldn't connect.

After connecting, a query could be run:
mysql> select id from dns_zone where name='mydomain.com';

There was a failure notice regarding Postoffice creation during the creation of the domain.
This was due to existing postoffice with the same name in mailenable.
After deleting the postoffice, we were able to add the domain without any errors.

The issue is now resolved.
In case anyone else has this issue, I am using Plesk 9.2.1 on Windows 2003.
The steps described above fixed the issue.
