Error opening Panel after upgrade to Plesk 12.0.18

analyze

New Pleskian
I have a V-Server account with Strato and just upgraded to 12.0.18 through the panel updater. The installation completed successfully, at least the installer gave me no error.
After the installation I tried to login and got the following error (I wasn't able to enter my credentials..):

Screen Shot 2014-06-17 at 19.48.05.jpg

I tried to repair permissions with:
Code:
 /usr/local/psa/bin/repair --restore-vhosts-permissions
which worked and I could now login. The Panel opened with the following error:

Screen Shot 2014-06-17 at 19.45.53.png

I can access certain areas of the panel without error (i.e. tools and settings etc, but I get the error when I try to access the control panel for single domains etc...)

Here an extract from the panel.log

any ideas??

Could you show output:
1) ls -lR /var/lock/lmlib/
2) rpm -q sw-engine plesk-lmlib
3) ls -la /dev/shm/

Sorry, I obmitted that I'm running Ubuntu. rpm -q obviously doesn't do anything on my system... (I substituted the command with "dpkg -s sw-engine plesk-lmlib", I hope that's ok...)
here is the output:

Same Setup (Strato, vServer running Ubuntu, Plesk after Upgrade)
Same Problem
Same Output.

Can I get some help please? Thanks!

Are there any solutions out there? I can't work with the Server anymore. No new customers, domains or settings avaliable. I need a fix as soon as possible.

If you need some logfiles, maybe I can help you.

Thanks!

The support team contacted me and it took them a night to fix it.
The info they gave me, is that they had to install a never version of mariadb from http://autoinstall.plesk.com. After that I could login into the control panel as well as into the panel for the individual domains.
Everything seemed fine after that until I started running into different problems. Backups failed for example. I ended up wiping the whole server and reinstalling everything fresh.

All good now. My advice: wipe your server and reinstall...

Oh that's a lot of work.

Wich directorys are requiered to backup before reinstall?
Mail, Web, Database?

I have the same problem, with same setup (Strato vServer, Ubuntu)
Upgrade says successful, but I got the same error.

Internal error: Permission denied
Message Permission denied
File Hierarchical.php

Type Exception

A fresh reinstall is no solution to me.
What is wrong here? Need help, plz.

We have the same problem on a dedicated server running CentOS 5.
We can't login. The following error message is displayed:

Error: Exception
Permission Denied.

/dev/shm is mounted as tmpfs file system, the exact line in /etc/fstab is:
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults,nosuid,noexec 0 0

http://kb.parallels.com/en/122077 did not help at all.
Running "/usr/local/psa/bootstrapper/pp12.0.18-bootstrapper/bootstrapper.sh repair" didn't fix the issue.
Running "/usr/local/psa/bin/repair --restore-vhosts-permissions" allowed us to login (thanks analyze), but the following error is displayed on the start page:

Internal error: Permission denied
Message Permission denied
File Hierarchical.php
Line 105
Type Exception

If the server is restarted, we can't login without running "/usr/local/psa/bin/repair --restore-vhosts-permissions" again.

Parallels, what on earth are you doing? Your updater recommended updating to Plesk 12, and then practically the server broke.
Are you trying to make your customers walk away or something?

Hi IgorG

# mount | grep shm
tmpfs on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,noexec, nosuid)

Also,
cat /etc/fstab | grep shm
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults,nosuid,noexec 0 0

On my test Plesk 12 server I see:

# cat /etc/fstab
none /dev/pts devpts rw,gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0

# mount | grep shm
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw,relatime)

IgorG
changed the line in /etc/fstab to:
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
And executed:
mount -o remount /dev/shm
service psa restart

However when trying to login:

ERROR: Exception
Permission denied

Also,
df -h | grep shm
tmpfs 2.0G 16K 2.0G 1% /dev/shm

cat /etc/fstab | grep pts
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0

Check output of

# getenforce

command. It should be 'Disabled'.
