ERROR: PleskFatalException Unable to connect to database: mysql_connect()Plesk 11.0.9

Hi Everyone,

I am On a Centos server with (actually) plesk 11.0.9 (succesfully installed last month) but i dunno why, i cant connect now the error is :

ERROR: PleskFatalException
Unable to connect to database: mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: No such file or directory

This is a mysql problem.

I Connected (btw sorry for my bad english) by ssh, mysql haven't started....

some commands :

# locate mysql.sock
/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
# mysql start
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)
#

I think plesk tried to upgrade to a new version and something goes bad, (the only living thing on this server is plesk, the others data are for real simple html websites)

I checked many forums, and no chance to fix it.

I have some questions :

Logically i have to reinstall mysql , but how to do it ? and of curse without loosing existing databases.

If it doesn't fix my problem , how can i re install plesk without loosing all the data.

If it doesn't fix, i have to reinstall server, but this is th eworse case
