• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue Error sending email

CobraArbok

Regular Pleskian
I'm sorry, but this is my first Plesk mail service setup.
I created a mailbox and sent an email to an external address (mydomain.tld).
I received this error.
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at my-server.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.
<name@mydomain.tld>:
Sorry, I couldn't find any host named mydomain.tld. (#5.1.2)

Any additional related details from /var/log/maillog ?

It could be a DNS issue or simply a fact that the domain mydomain.tld really doesn't exist.

@CobraArbok, if you login to your server's shell and execute 'dig mx mydomain.tld', what do you see?

BTW, 'dig' is a part of the 'bind-utils' package on CentOS and a part of the 'dnsutils' package on Ubuntu. If you don't have 'dig' available, just install the relevant package using your server's package manager.
