Every time I reboot my server, I must start crond by running the command: /etc/init.d/crond restart

What should I do to ensure that when server is rebooted, crond service is turned on automatically???

run chkconfig --list crond
and see if 3:eek:n is there. If not, run: chkconfig --level 3 crond on

I just tried that, and you were right! It was off. So, I ran the second command you said, and then restarted the server, and this time, the crond was up automatically.

Thank you eilko, that was it!!!!! You are my hero for the day :D
