  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Issue extension Google PageSpeed Insights issue

JTRipper

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

using this extension in the domain page we got the link:

Download optimized image, JavaScript, and CSS resources for this page.

which points to: https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/optimizeContents?url=http://DOMAIN.TLD&strategy=desktop

but clicking it we got error from Google API:

The referrer https://OURPLESKSERVERNAME:8443/modules/pagespeed-insights/index.php/index/result?dom_id=5&site_id=5 does not match the referrer restrictions configured on your API key. Please use the API Console to update your key restrictions.

I swapped urls for privacy reasons.

Do we need to active Google API key for this ?
How to add it in Plesk ?

Thanks in advance.
Jack

Not sure about this, but you can always simply go to PageSpeed Insights, test your URL from there and get the same advice plus explanations. Image, JS and CSS optimization are well explained in the Google help pages, too. However, don't let Google fool you into some JavaScript and CSS optimizations that lead to nowhere. Some of the advice given might enhance the user experience but in fact prolongate the actual file download time. It is not always good, e.g. to combine all .css or .js files in a single file.

Has anyone found a way to make this work with the Plesk extension. I'm well aware we can go direct but then why bother creating and this extension...
