external administrator email with smtp auth

I have not seen how i can define a working administrator mailbox (used for notifications by default) whose domain, and mail server, is not in the same machine of plesk. The notification emails are blocked at Plesk mail server because relay error.
Can be done this or notification mailboxes must be setup in Plesk linked mail server?
