Failed installing base packages of Plesk 8.2

When attempting to update to Plesk 8.2 from Plesk 8.1, I received an autoupdate failure report that contained the following:

Repeated attempt to upgrade the Plesk base packages results in nothing happening. At the end of the autoupdate success report it shows:

The following packages you requested are already updated:
psa
The packages were installed successfully.
