• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

failed SMTP server response

aremdee

Basic Pleskian
When I add a new domain under Plesk I receive this error message "Unable to send notification: mail() failed: SMTP server response: 550 Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable or not local". Now I've Googled the problem and found only one site that talks about it. I do however receive daily notifications from the Plesk Task scheduler to the same email address. I tried searching these forums but but got nowhere. This error has just started in the last month or so. Anyone got any ideas?

Many thanks.

Hi,

Notification by default are sent to Plesk administrator and to the client that will own domain.

You need to check that email addresses for both are valid.

You can configure notifications at Plesk -> Server -> Notifications

Thanks Bender,

Unfortunately everything is pointing to the correct administrator email address. This used to work but no longer does. Just wondering if there was anything else to try or should I just upgrade to 8.3 and hope that fixes it?

Many thanks again.
