Resolved Failed to update Plesk 12.5.30 automatic update

Tize

Basic Pleskian
Hello everyone, my server suddenly no longer updated and take several days to receive warnings that could not be upgraded.

I followed several steps listed here in the forum without success.
One of them has been added to the file etc/hosts

Code:
68.232.34.73 autoinstall.plesk.com
93.184.221.133 autoinstall.plesk.com

It does not work and after restarting skips the mistake again.
Captura de pantalla 2016-10-27 a las 11.26.11.png

Then I did this without success.

Code:
service lfd restart
service httpd restart
/etc/init.d/network restart

Thank you very much to those who help me always.

Hi, why u added this in file hosts??

the dns resolution of this is :

Code:
nslookup autoinstall.plesk.com
Server: 208.67.222.222
Address: 208.67.222.222#53

Non-authoritative answer:
autoinstall.plesk.com canonical name = 1727842103.rsc.cdn77.org.
Name: 1727842103.rsc.cdn77.org
Address: 185.59.220.17

i think u can resolve simply remove the lines into /etc/hosts.

Hi good morning Mr. @Alberto Pizzarelli
Thank you very much for your great support and help.
I followed the steps as you indicate and show you progress.

Before making any changes had it like this:

Hello good Morning.
At the end he had to wait until the next day because updates are made from SSH morning because I kept telling me there was an update in progress.

And today unfortunately the same error. Despite having everything as I intimated.

Thank you very much.
--------------------------
Ciao molto buono.
Alla fine ha dovuto aspettare fino al giorno successivo, perché gli aggiornamenti sono fatti da SSH mattina perché ho continuato a dirmi c'era un aggiornamento in corso.

E oggi, purtroppo, lo stesso errore. Pur avendo tutto come io accennai.

Grazie mille.

Hi Tize,

i think u can resolve simply remove the lines into /etc/hosts.
Alberto Pizzarelli didn't suggest to insert the investigations from "nslookup autoinstall.plesk.com", he suggested to REMOVE ( delete ) any additional lines!

As you can see in your log, the host "autoinstall.plesk.com" can't be found.

Pls. TEST the command:

and post the result here in your thread!

Make sure to DELETE/REMOVE additional lines from "/ect/hosts", which contain possible redirects of "autoinstall.plesk.com".
Consider to use ( at => /etc/resolv.conf )

Code:
nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4
nameserver 5.9.28.125
nameserver 46.182.18.228
nameserver 78.138.97.33
nameserver 78.138.98.82

options rotate
options timeout:3

... and try again the TEST ( => wget http://autoinstall.plesk.com/versions.inf3 ), to see, if you are able to reach the host.

Switch OFF your firewall(s), or Fail2Ban and FLUSH your firewall rules with the command:

iptables -F
... and test again, to make sure, that possible misconfiguration(s) or bans don't block your "wget" - requests.

Hello good evening, first thank you very much for your help also very friendly place.
I show the progress that throws me off the team by adding your commands.

Pls. TEST the command:

and post the result here in your thread!

By adding the command it takes a long and fails all results.

The file you told me that you used has nothing, is empty only has those lines.
Now I'll add the lines you said. And the result is as follows:

Captura de pantalla 2016-10-30 a las 19.09.51.png

I imagine to restart without restarting the server is with these commands.
If not please tell me.

Code:
service httpd restart
service network restart

Now I'll add the lines you said
Pls. add the suggestions ABOVE and not after your pre-configuration from Hetzner!

Pls. don't make the mistake to use COPY&PASTE, if you copy forum formats, which definetely should never appear in your configuration files!!!

Example: "[ INDENT]" and "[ / INDENT ]" is a FORUM format, which makes it possible to ident words/sentences in a forum

If you really must use copy&paste, make sure to copy codes from the forum FIRST into an ASCII - Editor ( for example "notepad" on windows - based systems ) and copy the code again FROM THERE, to paste it into your command line from your SSH - Client, to avoid issues/errors/problems!

Hello, you're right.
I had not realized that.
Now I've put as you said above and previante copying a text document.

I'll try again with the firewall and others.
Thank you.

You can see, that you are trying to resolve "autoinstall.plesk.com" to "185.152.65.77", while it is actually "185.59.220.11"

Use the command over your command line:

nslookup autoinstall.plesk.com

... if it doesn't reply with:

Code:
Server: 8.8.8.8
Address: 8.8.8.8#53

Address: 185.59.220.11

... you made a mistake with the suggested solutions above!

Hi Tize,

pls. READ the suggestions and don't just use copy and paste.... we are getting nowhere, if you don't understand what you do!!!

NO! You should NOT ADD the output of the command "nslookup autoinstall.plesk.com". This command is used on your command line, to show you a nameserver - lookup!

Hello, sorry.
My desire to try it right not let me go any.
The translator plays tricks on me, and my expressions and maybe yours are not the same.

I added in the address line commands:

And in the file:
Code:
nano /etc/resolv.conf

I have only these lines added.

Hi Tize,

as you can SEE, you still don't resolve to the current IP of "autoinstall.plesk.com" ( => 185.59.220.11 ). This IP may change, because Plesk uses several CDN's.

As a TEMPORARY solution, pls. add ( at the BOTTOM! ) of the file "/etc/hosts":

XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX autoinstall.plesk.com

... where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the IP, which is displayed, when you use the command:

ping autoinstall.plesk.com

Depending to your oparting system, it can help to disable TCP window scaling on your server:

Command to use over the command line: => echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_window_scaling

After your changes, pls. use the command:

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base
... AND REMOVE the temporary solution again from "/etc/hosts", when the Plesk autoinstaller finished his process !!!

If you need further help with the CDNs from Plesk, pls. consider to contact your server provider "Hetzner", or use the Plesk support at: => https://www.plesk.com/contact-us/support/#content-body

Hi, I followed all your steps and really feel your lost time help.

The ping is:

And to follow all the steps began installation but tells me that it is not possible for the version of Plesk.

Hetzner not support because they tell me that my server is dedicated.
Since Plesk though I have proper license when I give me support appears to be paid. Go things. o_O

My server is CentOS release 6.5 (Final)
My plesk is 12,5,30

Thank you very much and sorry for the inconvenience. :):):)

After your changes, pls. use the command:

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base

... AND REMOVE the temporary solution again from "/etc/hosts", when the Plesk autoinstaller finished his process !!!

Sorry... my fault... I corrected the suggested command!
