Failure Notices returned with valid emails

When a large volume of spam hits our server, it tries to send out a deluge of failure notices to invalid addresses that eventually get stuck in the queue. Problem is, when a customer sends an email to a valid address, they get a failure notice saying their email didn't make it (even though it actually did), but with one of the spam addresses as the recipient instead of the person they actually sent it to, but with their message attached to the bottom.

This has happened a few times now and is getting annoying, making the customers think their email isn't getting through, or worse, getting sent to someone else. Never had this problem until 8.1.

I have the same problem I have over 80,000 + in my outgoing.

You have 80,000 mails in your outgoing and haven't bothered to clear it?

Try setting your customers to "reject" or "discard" rather than bounce.

I have cleared it many times it keeps filling up with failure notices.
