• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

Hi,
When ever I create a website in plesk, a favicon.icon is generated with the plesk logo. I have tried to delete it in the directory, but even if i delete the favicon icon the websites still get the plesk favicon in the url. Is there somewhere the Plesk system set this feature as default? Cant I remove the default favicon icon from the website installation?

The favicon issue has already had some cases on the forum:
http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?t=35380
http://forum.swsoft.com/showthread.php?t=33962
As you can see, usually you simply put an image file called favicon.ico in the root directory of your website, however in Plesk this may not work. Try clearing your browser cache first; then you may try to replace (or remove?) the plesk favicon file (the one with the red plesk logo): /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/favicon.ico
If you'd like to stop Plesk favicon from re-emerging on the new sites, you may want to manually change the default Plesk domain skeleton which inlcudes the Plesk favicon.ico (it is located in /var/www/vhosts/.skel/0/)..

No Luck

I have tried everything suggested in these forums, but with no luck. I am only trying to change it for my own site. Can anyone else suggest anything?

Thanks,
Dawn
