• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Firewall blocking FTP?

Hello,

I have the firewall module installed in my Plesk 8.2.1 for Linux.
Whenever I activate the rule:

FTP server Allow incoming from all

System policy for forwarding of traffic Deny forwarding of all other traffic

System policy for incoming traffic Deny all other incoming traffic

System policy for outgoing traffic Allow all other outgoing traffic

I can access my ftp server, but if I try to get a list of the files, it hangs and the connection times out.

If I change the Incoming policy to allow, the problem does not happen...

Does anyone knows why? shouldnt the FTP policy set to allow bypass the default Deny rule from the Incoming policy?

Thank you,

Regards,
Filipe Miranda
