• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

firewall blocks nameservers - help!

Hi,

When I have the firewall enabled, my nameservers stop responding to requests.
Port 53 is in the UDP and TCP open ports thing, but it still does not work.
Plesk "support" want $150/hr to look at the problem, even though I have only had the license a week, and they say the reseller I bought it from should provide the support anyway - Resllers suggestion was to bypass Plesk firewall and figure out how to configure RRAS myself - what sort of support is THAT? :(

Any help would be much appreciated.

Wasn't this fixed in 7.0.3? I had the same problem with 7.0.1 when I first got my Plesk box. I believe this is addressed in the service pack 2 download. Go get it.
