• Halloween is coming! To celebrate the occasion, we dusted off a couple of old skins, and even created a brand new one (Pixel).
    To get into the festive spirit, install the Skins extension.
  • The new Python extension is now available. It allows customers to deploy and manage WSGI-based Python applications on their websites directly from Plesk.
  • The Plesk Mobile apps for iOS and Android and the Plesk Mobile Center extension have been deprecated, and are no longer available for new installations. In Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84, the Plesk Mobile Center extension will be removed from servers during the upgrade, and the Plesk Mobile apps will lose their server management features.
  • The Social Login extension has been deprecated and will be removed in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.84. After that, it will no longer be possible to log in to Plesk with a Google, Facebook, GitHub account, or with a passkey. Plesk usernames and passwords, as well as logging in with a WebPros Account, are not affected.

FreeBSD 5.3 Perl port problem

Datacenter says that

"FreeBSD 5.3 an older version of Perl in the ports collection. I can't get Plesk to install without the correct version of Perl. "

Is it true?
What is the solution?

Please - don't post your questions more than once... But again... Update your ports collection - this will get you Perl 5.8.7 which is expected by Plesk.

I found solution

The way I would do this is:

cd /usr
rm -R ports
fetch ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/p...ts/ports.tar.gz
tar zxvf ports.tar.gz && rm ports.tar.gz

Then follow through the instructions to upgrade perl

1. cd /usr/ports/lang/perl5.8
2. make deinstall (removes perl5.8.6)
3. make reinstall (hurray! now we have 5.8.7)

--------------------
Sorry full ports path is here

cd /usr
rm -R ports
fetch ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/ports/ports.tar.gz
tar zxvf ports.tar.gz && rm ports.tar.gz

cd /usr/ports/lang/perl5.8
make deinstall
make reinstall
