• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Question From VPS localhost to plesk

Bob

New Pleskian
I recently bought a ubuntu VPS with Plesk Obsidian. On my VPS(which i connected through ssh) i have a website running on http://localhost:7443.
I already bought a domain to set it up with plesk.
My question is; Is there a way i can connect to my VPS's localhost with plesk and access the website directly from the web?
For example forward that localhost to my domain?
Please if anyone could help i would be grateful!!

If I correctly understood, this site http://localhost:7443 is not registered in Plesk? But in this case which webserver is handling this site?
As a possible solution, you can move the content of this standalone website to the site created in Plesk.

My VPS provider is IONOS.
The public IP which i use to connect to my server through ssh is also the web plesk admin page.
I'm running (ubuntu+plesk).
The website i'm running is on localhost. I cannot acess this website because it's not my machine's localhost.
I need to redirect all the ttaffic that comes to my domain which i added to plesk to my terminal's localhost website so i can access it from anywhere in the world.

I'm still not sure that do you mean "localhost" in your description, but you can try to use the Forwarding hosting type for your Plesk domain (set it up in Hosting Settings of your domain):

But make sure that this "localhost" site is accessible from your Plesk server.
