• Debian 11 is approaching its end-of-life (vendor EOL date - August 31, 2026). Plesk Obsidian 18.0.80 will be the last release to support it.
If you are running Plesk Obsidian on Debian 11, we recommend you upgrade those servers to Debian 12 using our dist-upgrade tool.
  • We plan to deprecate and remove the support for XML RPC protocol versions earlier than 1.6.9.1 in Plesk Obsidian 18.0.82. We strongly recommend that you update all existing integrations using earlier versions of the XML RPC protocol to comply with the version 1.6.9.1 specification.

Issue FTP connection time out

18.0.55 Update Nr. 2
Hi,

I'd like to connect to my v-server via FTP. When I go to ftp connection data, I see the ip address, the username and my password. When I try to connect, I get "connection time out".

I use filezilla, passive mode and disabled the firewall.

Thank you.

Port 21 may be closed or Filezilla is set to use SFTP instead of FTP/FTPS, but the username is not the subscription user, but an add-on FTP user. It is also thinkable that the port is set to 22, but you are trying to connect to FTP/FTPS.

Solutions:
- Make sure that port 21 is used.
- Make sure that port is open on your server AND in the data center's firewall. Some data centers block that port by default.
