  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

FTP improper gid

Hey all,

I have an interesting issue with a client domain running on plesk 8.2.
Whenever this client connects to ftp (using FileZilla) to ftp.domain.com, all their files come up with a group of psaserv, and can't be run as scripts. Whenever the client connects to hostserver.com, all files come up with psacln as the group, and can be run as scripts.

When running from command-line ftp, both domains give a group of psacln.

I read somewhere that files are only uploaded as psaserv when using sftp, rather than ftp, but the options have been the same every time for connecting, and yet we get different gids.

Does anyone have any insight into how to fix this and get it so the customer can upload working scripts by using ftp.domain.com as well?

Bump. Anyone have any idea about this? I can provide more info if it is needed.
